Current Opportunities
WELCOME DESK Greet Visitors and hand out information during our open hours, or before/after PLAC events
TOUR GUIDES Upon completing a scheduled PLAC docent training, you are able to become an art center ambassador. We give, on average, roughly two tours a week. Our hope is to eventually have the capacity and interest to grow this to one official tour a day!
PERFORMING ARTS USHER Check in at the Box Office. Duties include: taking tickets, showing patrons to their seats, beverage patrol, making people smile! When you volunteer as an usher, you are able to attend the performance!
EVENT SUPPORT Lead an art activity, greet the public, bartend, set the spread for an art opening, you name it we need it! We need your personality and your love for people to help our events run smooth!
PLAC STREET TEAM We are looking for passionate people to hit the streets with the good word! We want you to bring your craziest marketing ideas to the table to help us attract new folks to our events! Flash-mobs encouraged, flyer distribution a MUST!

The Pearson Lakes Art Center was founded in 1965 by a group of artists in a small, barn-like structure. It has evolved to become one of the top art museums in Iowa, serving as a meeting place, learning center, safe harbor and creative outlet for area residents and visitors.
