September 19 & 26: * Two-week course: Learn About Scratch Art! - Students will see professional scratchboard artists work and learn how to layer simple lines to create their own work of art and well as how to make DIY scratch art paper!

October 3, 10, 17: BIG Hand built Clay Bowl - Learn hand-building techniques in coil and slab as we slip and score to create a large fruit bowl. Projects will be left to dry/fire in the kiln and will be ready to pick up approximately 2.5 weeks after class. Please note that pieces must be picked up within two months, no shipping is available.

November 7, 14, 21: Felt Masks - Students will be inspired by fine art masks of the world, as they add layers and layers of colorful shapes will help us build a cherished mask out of felt that can be for play and display!

December 5, 12, 19: Collaged Self-Portraits - Students will create artwork to be cherished forever as we create whimsical images of each student using black and white photography, and patterned and gelli print papers on a hardboard surface.

September 17 & 24*, Two-week course: Scratch Art - Students will see professional scratchboard artists work and learn to develop lines in layers to create their own work of art and well as how to make DIY scratch art paper!

October 1, 8, 15: Clay Bowls on the Wheel - Learn to center clay on the wheel and create a bowl or two of your own! Students will develop hand-thrown pieces with texture, followed by glazing. Projects will be left to dry/fire in the kiln and will be ready to pick up approximately 2.5 weeks after class. Please note that pieces must be picked up within two months, no shipping is available. Class limited to 14 students.

November 5, 12, 19: Paper Mache Animal Bust - Learn how to sculpt forms, mix your own paper mache paste, and create an animal bust from the shoulders up to create a 3D wall art creation!

December 3, 10, 17: Self Portrait Collage using Gelli Print Papers. - Create Gelli plate printed papers with color and layers that will then transform into a self-portrait. The instructor will discuss facial proportions and highlight/shadow to develop portraits that really come to life!

Teen Art | 7-12^th | Wednesdays | 4-5 pm

September 18 & 25: * Two-week course: Scratchboard Art - Students will see professional scratchboard artists work and create their own scratchboard artwork on hardboard scratchboard. The instructor will discuss cross-hatching, stippling, and contrast to develop the skills of each participant. 

October 2, 9, 16: Clay Salsa Bowls on the Wheel - Learn to center clay on the wheel, control to make a bowl form and develop a chip and salsa bowl! Students will develop wheel-throwing skills as well as hand-building, followed by glazing. Projects will be left to dry/fire in the kiln and will be ready to pick up approximately 2.5 weeks after class. Please note that pieces must be picked up within two months, no shipping is available. Class is limited to 14 students.

November 6, 13, 20: Telling a Story with Paper Mache and Fabric - Learn how to sculpt forms, mix your own paper mache paste, and create sculpture piece that tells a story. Students will build sculptures in paper mache medium and finalize with fabric coverings.

Participants must register by the Wednesday one week before the class, no exceptions.
