The Pearson Lakes Art Center is seeking a Graphic Design and Marketing Coordinator
This is a part-time position up to 20 hours per week, with flexible hours between 10am and 4pm, Monday-Friday. The ideal candidate will be creative with strong computer-based graphic design skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, and work well independently and with department heads.
Assist in the design and execution of all marketing material including quarterly brochures, event specific press release, print and radio advertisements, fundraising material and general art center advertisements.
- Assist in managing and updating the website.
- Manage all social media outlets including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
- Occasionally attend evening and/or weekend events as needed.
- Administrative and fundraising tasks as needed.
- Degree in graphic design or related field (equivalent work experience will be considered).
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign, Microsoft Office and WordPress (will be expected to demonstrate skills).
- Strong editing, proofreading and organizational skills.
- Excellent writing skills. Experience with writing press releases and advertisements preferred.
- Experience with all forms of social media
- Basic photography knowledge and the ability to use a DSLR camera

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, PEARSON LAKES ART CENTER, OKOBOJI, IOWA
An exceptional leadership and career opportunity is open in Okoboji and the Iowa Great Lakes region. The Board of Directors of the Pearson Lakes Art Center (PLAC) is seeking qualified candidates to be selected as its next executive director.
The Executive Director will provide leadership in developing, implementing and coordinating policies and programs to the meet the PLAC mission; oversee and manage daily operations, budget, fundraising, and staff; and develop and strengthen donor and community relations and partnerships.
Qualified candidates include those with a business or arts management degree plus non-profit management experience including fundraising, grant-writing, marketing and public relations. Demonstrated written and oral communications skills, supervisory, leadership, planning and organizational skills as well as knowledge of accounting principles and fiscal management are also required. Desired qualifications include an MBA in arts management/museology and five or more years of non-profit management experience.
