Make the Pearson Lakes Art Center the site for your next business luncheon or social affair.  With the recent additions of the Pomerantz Hall and the Lauridsen Theatre, the Lakes Art Center can now accommodate a cocktail party for 400 guests or a sit down affair for 200 people.  The soothing vista from the Pomerantz Hall offers a glimpse of nature's best prairie grasses and bird sanctuary while your guests are stimulated by the original artwork that adorn the walls.

Our main gallery salon is the perfect site for an intimate gathering or musical recital or for a larger affair, the new Lauridsen Theatre can accommodate nearly 300 guests.

The Pearson Lakes Art Center Staff is pleased to announce we have recently installed shades in the Pomerantz Hall.  This was a generous donation from Bank Midwest and Jane Hummel Designs.  The Pomerantz Hall is now equipt to allow for viewing of PowerPoint presentations, videos and more during the day.

Lauridsen Theatre*
  • Performance: $500.00
  • Tech Rehearsal or Meeting: $250.00
  • Non Tech Stage Use: $150.00

(Rental fee includes theatre space and selected theatre equipment)

Pomerantz Hall*
  • Large Party/Sit down meal: $600.00
  • Small Party (a cocktail party with fewer than 100 people) or Large Meeting: $350.00

(Rental fee includes space, tables and chairs, and limited available catering equipment)

Weaver Lobby Gallery*
  • Reception/Social: $300.00
  • Student Recital: $100.00 - $200.00

(Rental fee includes space and available reception/lecture equipment)

Classrooms*
  • During Office Hours: $50.00
  • After Office Hours: $100.00

Preferred Caterers List*

We have recently created a preferred caterer's list for your convenience.  If you choose any of our caterers we will deduct $200.00 from the large party Pomerantz Hall fee.

The fee structure is based upon a four hour block, additional time for set-up, deliveries and/or clean-up will be billed at the hourly rate of $20.00 if outside regular business hours (Tuesday-Saturday 10-4, Thursday 10-9. [Mondays 10-4, Sunday 12-3 Memorial through Labor Day]).  Rental fees will include one staff person to be available during your planned event with the exception of performances in the Lauridsen Theatre, which will require additional personnel.  Personnel charges will be added to the final rental agreement.

The catering kitchen located off of the Pomerantz Hall is available for catering use only during the planned event.  You may choose to employ one of our preferred caterers or choose your own.  We can supply you with a list of area caterers and their specialties.  Kitchen facility and equipment include:

  • 30 Cup Coffee Maker
  • 2 Cut Glass Punch Bowls
  • 2 Microwave
  • 1 Oven

All alcoholic beverages must be purchased by the Lakes Art Center.  You may request a cash or host bar; or a combination of the two options.  All bar options will close at 1:00 AM.  Bar fees range as follows:

  • Alcoholic Mixed Drinks: $4.00 - $5.00
  • Wine (per glass): $4.00
  • Beer (per bottle): $3.00 - $4.00
  • Soft Drinks (per glass): $1.00
  • Coffee (per cup): $1.00

Host Bar fees vary.

All rental fees include use of the following:

  • 12 - 6' x 3' Tables
  • 23 - 5' Round Tables (seat 8)
  • 208 Stackable Dark Gray Chairs
  • 75 Tan Padded Folding Chairs (have been used in classes, some have paint stains)
  • 3 Utility Carts
  • 1 Baby Grand Piano (additional fee $120 if a special tuning is required)
  • 1 Upright Piano (additional fee of $120 if a special tuning is required)
  • 1 Slide Projector and screen
  • 2 Podiums
  • 1 TV with VCR and DVD player
  • Shades in Pomerantz Hall

Six Cocktail tables are available for $10.00 each.
