Currently on diplay in Pomerantz Hall until February 2009

Longtails
Key images from this popular traveling exhibition will be on display in the Pomerantz Hall of the Pearson Lakes Art Center through February, 2009. While it is waiting for its next venue, don’t miss this opportunity to view this exhibition while it is back in Okoboji.
20 Years/20 Stories is the work of David Thoreson of Okoboji, IA. The full exhibit, 20 Years/20 Stories, uses fine art photography together with the written and the spoken word to depict exploration and evolution of life and encourages the viewer to stop and explore life himself. By themselves the stories and images are only fragments of time and travel. Woven together they present a storyline of the human condition, wild and remote places, and of the finite environment in which we all live.
Also of note, Mr. Thoreson will have a documentary aired on IPTV. "An Arctic Journey in a Changing World" premieres December 4 at 7 pm on Iowa Public Television. In this half-hour documentary, IPTV chronicles Thoreson’s historic voyage as he examines the implications of climate change. After the documentary, Thoreson will be speaking live during IPTV’s fundraiser. .
All photographs from the exhibition are available for purchase, and can be ordered in a variety of sizes. Each image is limited to an edition of 50, no matter what size it is printed, and is signed by the artist.
