The imagery in Dan’s work is a combination of cultural imagery and ideas constructed in the guise of whimsical architectural and mechanical forms presented in dynamic compositions. His sculptures are composed in ways that imply a narrative to which the viewer becomes a witness. He utilized color to accentuate forms and complement the site. Shifts in scale and perspective challenge the viewer to question their physical relationship to the world around them and contemplate their surroundings.
